Eligibility for Admission

The student must have compulsorily attended CET(PCMB) examination conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority, Bengaluru during the concerned year

Fifty per cent of the marks obtained in PCMB in qualifying exam and fifty per cent of the CET (PCMB) marks of the concerned year will be taken together to prepare the merit list. Based on the online options given by the students and the merit position, seats will be allotted by the Karnataka Examination Authority.

For those who claim admission on farmer's children or actual cultivator quota, a practical test for two hundred marks will be conducted by the University and the marks will be given to Karnataka Examination Authority for further consolidation, taking fifty per cent of Practical test marks, twenty five per cent of PUC marks and twenty five per cent of CET test marks.

Reservation of seats shall be made as per state Government order in force from time to time (Ref. section 3.3).

The Horanadu and Gadinadu students will be considered for admission among others, subject to fulfilling the eligibility conditions for admission, except domicile conditions.

The filling up of 10 per cent seats of UG for admission of Non Resident Indians (NRI)/ NRI sponsored candidates shall be over and above intake of various degree programmes under PCMB stream only.

15% of the total intake of each College/Programme will be allotted through ICAR.

5% of the total intake in each College/Programme will be allotted to diploma holders has super numeracy quota lateral admissions made through online allotment and no personal counseling.

Eligibility for Admission

(i) Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in the concerned faculty with a minimum OGPA of 6.50/10.00 or its equivalent from a recognized Agricultural / Horticultural University or Deemed University recognized by ICAR. In the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Cat I, a minimum of OGPA 6.00/10.00 pass in Bachelor's degree is adequate.

(ii) Candidate should produce character and conduct certificate issued by the Dean of respective Universities.

(iii) Candidate should have passed UG degree programme from any Farm University in Karnataka. Horanadu / Gadinadu Kannadigas should have passed a degree from an Agricultural / Horticultural University or Deemed University recognized by ICAR from anywhere in India.

iv) All eligible candidates seeking admission to Master's degree programme need to apply All India Entrance Examination for Admission to Master's Degree Programme - AIEEA conducted by National Testing Agency in the concerned stream and produce score card (rank card). Students can also choose any subjects belong to the stream he/she chooses.

Candidate who seeks admission for subjects other than ICAR accredited courses shall appear Farm university entrance exam as per their choices.

Eligibility for Admission

(i) A Master's degree in the concerned subject or an equivalent qualification from Agricultural / Horticultural / Deemed Agricultural Universities / Institutes recognized by ICAR, New Delhi in terms of equivalent course duration, with CGPA of 2.50/4.00 (Trimester System) or OGPA of 7.50/ 10.00 (Semester System). In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Cat- I, the minimum CGPA required is 2.00/4.00 (Trimester System) or OGPA of minimum 7.00/10.00 (Semester System) to seek admission.

(ii) The candidates who have studied under Trimester system and are seeking admission for Ph.D. programmes are required to compulsorily submit the equivalent percentage certificate (Master's degree) obtained from the irrespective Universities / Institutions.

(iii) Domicile requirement is not applicable for candidates seeking admission to Ph.D. programmes. Provision is also made to admit five teachers / scientists under in- service quota for each of the five Farm Universities not exceeding one seat per subject. These candidates shall compulsorily forward their application through their employer within the last date prescribed for submission of filled in application, failing which their application will not be considered.

(iv) All eligible candidates seeking admission to Doctoral degree programme need to apply All India Entrance Examination for Admission to Doctoral Degree Programme - AIEEA conducted by National Testing Agency in the concerned subject and produce score card (rank card).
