The University receives funding from various sources, including schemes implemented by the Government of Karnataka, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), the Government of India, and ad-hoc projects. Financial accounting operations have been computerized using the Fund-Based Accounting System (FBAS), designed to handle all financial transactions related to receipts and payments. The University maintains its accounts—covering agriculture and horticulture disciplines—using the double-entry accounting system (FBAS) in accordance with the University’s Acts and Statutes.

Currently, schemes from the Government of Karnataka, the Government of India, ICAR, and ad-hoc projects are operational at the University. Regarding the University’s academic structure, it comprises one College of Agriculture, two Colleges of Horticulture, and one College of Agricultural Engineering. Research Wing: The University operates Zonal Agricultural and Horticultural Research Stations as well as eight Agricultural and Horticultural Research Stations. Extension Wing: The University operates two Extension Education Units, three Extension Units, and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs).
