2 | FCV Tobacco FCS-4 | FCS-4 is a high yield FCV variety with cured leaf yield of 1660 kg/ha and gives 20-30% higher cured leaf yield over the existing varieties like Kanchan and Sahyadri. It is accepted by the farmers

3 | Cowpea : GP1 | GP-1 is a new Cowpea variety with yield of 11.80 q/ha suitable for Kharif season. It was recorded 10-15% higher yield level over the existing varieties DC-15, UAHS-28 and well accepted by the farmers.

4 | Ragi : CFMV-1 | It is a biofortified variety rich in Iron (58 ppm) and Zinc (42 ppm) than the presently cultivated varieties. It is a high yielding and blast tolerant variety. |
5 | FCV Tobacco Moisture Conservation | Application of dried areca nut husk on the FCV tobacco ridges at the rate of four tons of per acre on the day of planting or a day or two after planting to conserve soil moisture.

Maximum fruit weight (143.04 g), fruit yield (75.59 kg/pl) and over all yield of 57.26 t/ha with highest benefit of Rs. 5.07. The post-harvest qualities of fruits and leaf NPK status and available soil NPK was also found to be better.

Significant Achievements
- Three improved varieties such as Mudigere-1, Mudigere-2 and Mudigere-3 have been developed and released in cardamom.
- Sharavathi, Hemavathi, IET-7191, KHP-2, KHP-5, KHP-9, KHP-10, KHP-11, Tunga and KHP-13 are the important paddy varieties have been developed and released for commercial cultivation in this region.
- Soil application of Jeevamrutha (20L/Clump) + Azospirillum(10g/clump) + Phosphate solubilizing bacteria (10g/clump) + Trichoderma harzianum (10g/clump) improved the yield of small cardamom.
- Drip irrigation of 9 litre / clump along with 100% recommended dose of fertilizer gave the highest capsule yield in small cardamom
