- [ಶುಂಠಿ ಬೆಳೆಯ ಬೆಂಕಿ ರೋಗದ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ](https://uahs.edu.in/ginger-crop-disease-control-benki-roga-nivaarane-tips-blog/): ಶುಂಠಿಯು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸಾಂಬಾರು ಬೆಳೆಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಬೇರು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಂಡಗಳು ಅಡುಗೆ, ಸೂಪ್, ಉಪ್ಪಿನಕಾಯಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಔಷಧೀಯ ಗುಣಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಶುಂಠಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳು ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಕೆಲ ರೈತರು ಪಾಳು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಕೃಷಿ ಭೂಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಡೆಯುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಈ ಬೆಳೆ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಶುಂಠಿ ಕೊಯ್ಲುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಶಿಲೀಂಧ್ರ ರೋಗ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ರೈತರಲ್ಲಿ ಆತಂಕ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಈ ವರ್ಷ ನಾಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದ 70–80 ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರೋಗ ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿ ಹರಡಿದ್ದು, ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಆತಂಕವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಐ.ಸಿ.ಎ.ಆರ್.-ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಾಂಬಾರು ಬೆಳೆಗಳ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ, ಕ್ಯಾಲಿಕಟ್ ಅವರ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಈ ರೋಗ ಪೈರಿಕ್ಯುಲೇರಿಯಾ ಎಂಬ ಶಿಲೀಂಧ್ರಾಣುವಿನಿಂದ ಹರಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ರೋಗವು ಭತ್ತ, ಗೋಧಿ, ಬಾರಿಯಂತಹ ಏಕದಳ ಸಸ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುವ ಬೆಂಕಿ ರೋಗದಂತಾಗಿದೆ. ಗೋಣಿಕೊಪ್ಪಲು ಐ.ಸಿ.ಎ.ಆರ್.-ಕೃಷಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಈ ರೋಗದ ಹತೋಟಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ […]

- [ತೆಂಗಿನ ಬೆಳೆಯ ಕೀಟಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಅವುಗಳ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ](https://uahs.edu.in/coconut-crop-pests-and-their-management-blog/): ಕಲ್ಪವೃಕ್ಷವೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುವ ತೆಂಗು ಅತ್ಯುಪಯುಕ್ತ ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕಾ ಬೆಳೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ಸುಮಾರು 93 ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಭಾರತದ 18 ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಂಗನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಾದ ಕೇರಳ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ, ತಮಿಳುನಾಡು ಮತ್ತು ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ತೆಂಗು ಬಹುಪಯೋಗಿ ಬೆಳೆ ಆಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದರಿಂದ ಕಾಯಿ, ಕೊಬ್ಬರಿ, ಪಾನೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಆಹಾರ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮರದ ದಿಮ್ಮಿ, ಉರುವಲು ವಸ್ತುಗಳು, ನಾರು ಮತ್ತು ನಾರಿನ ಪುಡಿ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಚ್ಚಾ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇತರೆ ಬೆಳೆಗಳಂತೆ ತೆಂಗಿಗೂ ಹಲವು ಕೀಟಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ರೋಗಗಳು ಬಾಧಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಇವುಗಳಿಂದ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ನಷ್ಟ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೆಲವು ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಬೆಳೆಯೇ ನಾಶವಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯೂ ಇದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ತೆಂಗಿಗೆ ತಗುಲುವ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕೀಟಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಕವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವುದು ಅತ್ಯವಶ್ಯಕವಾಗಿದೆ. ರೈನೋಸಿರಸ್ ದುಂಬಿ ತೆಂಗನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುವ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕೀಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರೈನೋಸಿರಸ್ ದುಂಬಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿದೆ. - [ಪಶುಪಾಲನೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಎ.ಐ., ಇನ್ಮುಂದೆ ಪಶುಪಾಲಕರೂ ಹೈಫೈ](https://uahs.edu.in/%e0%b2%aa%e0%b2%b6%e0%b3%81%e0%b2%aa%e0%b2%be%e0%b2%b2%e0%b2%a8%e0%b3%86%e0%b2%af%e0%b2%b2%e0%b3%8d%e0%b2%b2%e0%b3%82-%e0%b2%8e-%e0%b2%90-%e0%b2%87%e0%b2%a8%e0%b3%8d%e0%b2%ae%e0%b3%81%e0%b2%82/): – ಪ್ರದೀಪ್ ಕುರ್ಡೇಕರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶಂಬುಲಿಂಗಪ್ಪ ಬಿ. ಜಿ., ಶ್ರೀ ಸತ್ಯ ಸಾಯಿ ಮಾನವ ಅಭ್ಯುದಯ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ, ಕಲಬುರಗಿ ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಉತ್ಪಾದಕತೆಯೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಒಂದು ದೇಶದ ಕೃಷಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯು, ಆ ದೇಶದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇತರೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಉತ್ಪಾದಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಬಲ್ಲದು. 2050ರ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 9 ಶತಕೋಟಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರ ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಪಶು ಸಾಕಣೆಯಿಂದ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಉತ್ಪನ್ನದ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಭಾರತದ ಕೃಷಿಯ ಉಪ ಅಂಗವಾದ ಪಶು ಸಾಕಣೆಗೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಸವಾಲುಗಳಿದ್ದು, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಲು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನವು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಬಲ್ಲದು. ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಗಾತ್ರದ ಪಶುಪಾಲನೆಯೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದರೂ ಕೂಡ, ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗಾತ್ರದ ಪಶುಪಾಲನೆಯು ದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗೆ ವೇಗವನ್ನು ನೀಡಬಲ್ಲದು. ಇಂತಹ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗಾತ್ರದ ಪಶುಪಾಲನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಶುಗಳ ಸಾಕಣೆ, ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೋಳಿಗಳಂತಹ ರೀತಿಯ ಪಾಲನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರೋಗಗಳು ಬೇಗನೇ ಹರಡುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕವಾಗಿ ನಾಶ ಮಾಡುವ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಸಂಗ ಬರಬಹುದು. ಇದರಿಂದ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುವ ಅಪಾರ […]
