The Diploma (Agri.) College at Kathalagere was started in 2011 with an intake capacity of 35 students per year functioning in the premises of Agricultural and Horticultural research station, Kathalagere. The Diploma (Agri.) college is having good infrastructure facilities like separate college building (construction going on), well established computer laboratory and library, separate hostel for boys and girls, play ground, students counseling and other co-curricular activities. The institute is providing quality practical oriented education to the students in the field of agriculture along with regular classroom teaching. The students are also exposed to various advancements in the field of agriculture through 15 days state education tour and they are also exposed to field problems, faced by problems through 15 days village stay. The students of the institute have excelled in academics, sports, literary and cultural activities, main thrust is given on the overall personality developments of the students.
